Ronaldinho began his career at the Brazilian club of Gremio. He came through the youth academy. His debut was was during 1998 season in a Copa Libertadores. In the season of 1999 played in forty-eight matches and scored twenty three goals. Ronaldinho has one memorable moment during his time at his boyhood club. In the Rio Grande do Sul State Championship final. Ronaldinho embarrassed Internacional's Brazilian legend Dunga by flicking the ball over his head and leaving him flat-footed. Ronaldinho and his team went on to win in that final by winning 3-2. Ronaldinho won two trophies at Gremio. In the year of 2001 Ronaldinho moved to the French Champions: P.S.G.
On january 2011 Ronaldinho moved to Brazilian club Flamengo. Ronaldinho scored his first goal in a 3–2 victory against Boavista . Another match against Boavista Ronaldinho converted a second-half free kick to beat Boavista 1–0 and win his first trophy which was the Taça Guanabara. The goal gave Flamengo there 19th Taça Guanabara title which gave them the Campeonato Carioca title two months later. On 27 July 2011, Ronaldinho scored a hat-trick in Flamengo's 5–4 away win against rivals Santos, after being 3–0 down inside the first 30 minutes. That match was Ronaldinho's most rememberable moment at Flamengo. Then in May 2012 he moved to Atlético Mineiro.
Ronaldinho made a surprise move to Atlético Mineiro on 4 June 2012 in a six-month contract. He made his debut for Atletico Mineiro playing for 90 minutes in a 1–0 away win against Palmeiras. He scored his first goal for the club against Náutico from a penalty. Ronaldinho led Atlético Mineiro to a good season. His team finished 2nd in the Brasileirão and qualified for the Copa Libertadores. Ronaldinho won the Brazilian Golden Ball for his outstanding performances.
The next season, Atletico Mineiro won Campeonato Mineiro. The brazilian took a big part of the clubs success. On top of that Ronaldinho led his club to its first ever Copa Libertadores. Ronaldinho scored four goals and assisted seven other players in that dramatic cup run. Also Atletico Meneiro won the Recopa Sudamericana.
On 9 January 2014 he renewed his contract with the club due to the clubs success. However Ronaldinho Canceled his extension due to mutual consent then he moved Mexican club Queretaro.
